NURSE & OFFICER RESUSCITATE COLLAPSED WOMAN AT GYM

Melissa Lezark and officer Joe Beauer, the heroes of the day.

On a typical day at The Muscle Mill gym, Fran Zatz was doing her usual workout routine. Suddenly, she collapsed on the floor after stepping off the treadmill. Fortunately, two quick-thinking individuals were there to save the day: A nurse and a police officer.

The officer, Joe Bauer, who was working out next to her quickly rushed to her side and assessed her vital signs. The nurse, Melissa Lezark, also came to aid and found that Fran was slowly breathing before she ceased to have a pulse and stopped breathing entirely. Without hesitation, Melissa started performing CPR on Fran, doing 30 compressions and 2 breaths which ultimately revived her.

Thanks to their quick actions, Fran was able to survive the ordeal and make a full recovery. She is grateful to both Melissa and the officer for saving her life.

Melissa claims she wasn’t even suppose to be at the gym during that time, as it was out of her normal routine; “The chances of me coming to the gym after a 24-hour shift are very slim, especially right after a 24-hour shift," which makes this event nothing short of a valiant miracle.

The actions of these two heroes are a true testament to the importance of being prepared for emergency situations. Their quick thinking, calm demeanor, and willingness to help in the blink of an eye made all the difference in Fran's life. They are a shining example of the heroic work that nurses and police officers do every day.

Their bravery deserve recognition and praise. We should all be grateful for the hardworking and dedicated patriots who serve our communities daily and make the world a safer place.
